Benifiting The Little Light House

The mission of the Little Light House is to glorify God by improving the quality of life for children with special needs, their families, and their communities. We accomplish this mission by providing tuition-free educational and therapeutic services to children with special needs ages birth to six. The Little Light House has been a part of Tulsa since October 3, 1972. What began with one teacher, five students, and five volunteers has grown into a nationally recognized developmental center for children with special needs with over 40 staff members serving 64 students alongside many volunteers. The LLH does not charge tuition and receives money only from private sources, such as foundations and grants. The LLH does not receive funding from government sources or the United Way.

Here is a cool way for Brides and Grooms to have a fun evening with a chance to win prizes and benefit The Little Light House this coming March. The Tulsa Wedding Society is hosting this event and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Little Light House. It is at Sky Loft at First Place Tower on the 41st floor! Tickets are $15 for individuals and $50 for VIP couples. VIP couple includes reserved seating and a bottle of champagne, a great swag bag, and 5 raffle tickets and more! Everybody gets food and beverages, yum! You should really consider being a part of this!

Booker T. Washington Prom 2012

DJ RO' and I got to perform for this years 2012 "Starry Night" Prom in Tulsa, OK at the Tulsa Convention Center. The night was awesome. The kids really loved seeing DJ RO' spin on the NS7. DJ RO' is a student at Booker T and has been spinning with Party AllStars for almost a year now. He said last year his goal was to spin at one of his own school dances and Saturday that happened and they loved him. It's hard to believe that a kid at 16 already knows how to read his crowd, time the next mix, scratch or sample, and know the perfect time to drop the bangers. Congrats to our DJ RO' for a successful Prom.

Glenpool Prom 2012

Glenpool, OK. Prom 2012: This is the first year Party AllStars performed at The Glenpool Prom. We met with Mrs Caudle back in the fall and started working on the Prom. It was clear from the meetings with the Admins and students they wanted an amazing set-up. Everybody was great, from the students to the teachers to the Glenpool Conference Center staff. Here is what we came up with. Here is the area from the back of the room to the foyer.
And here is the front of the room with the goalie style DJ set-up.

Bar Mitzvah (Jack)

Last Saturday night was a great event. We got the pleasure of working with Christina Leigh Clayton of Christina Leigh Events in Tulsa, Ok. It was a Bar Mitzvah for Jack at the Oklahoma Jazz Music Hall of Fame. Christina put together a great event. She had it set up as Around the USA theme. There was a rodeo clown and a mechanical bull, various game stations, huge rock climbing wall, plus the Oklahoma City Thunder Cheerleaders performed and stayed and danced almost the entire night. Party AllStars brought the sound, lights, dancers and DJs. We had tons of trussing with lights, DJs on turntables spinning club style and motivation dancers Jessica and McKenzie kept people dancing till the last song. Jack said, “thanks DJ, this was crazy!”

The Bridal Experience

“The Bridal Experience” offers Q&As from wedding industry pros

Tulsa Event Professionals presents “The Bridal Experience,” a full day of informational sessions taught by some of Tulsa’s elite wedding industry vendors. The sessions will contain question and answer panels, how-to tips, and live demonstrations revolving around that special day. Topics like getting the most from your photography, selecting entertainment, choosing a venue, and serving your guests at the reception will help brides-to-be navigate planning their big day. The event will also feature “Date Night” prize drawings from various popular restaurants around town. Vicki Taylor, producer of The Tulsa Wedding Show, will also be on-hand to answer questions on how to get the most out of a wedding show.

Anyone wishing to attend can sign up online for the sessions they want to attend to reserve their spot. Reservations are not necessary but they are suggested. “Guests can come, get the information they’re after, and go home. The best part is that this event is entirely free,” says Jesse Reich, owner of Jesse Reich Photography and Tulsa Photobooth.

“Brides have tons of questions that they are afraid to ask. Now they have a place to go to ask those questions,” says Kena Lundy, co-owner of Edge Sight & Sound and Party AllStars. This unique event serves to educate anyone planning a wedding and will arm any bride and groom, or parents of the bride, with the knowledge to plan a spectacular wedding and spend their money smarter. “Brides and grooms just want information. The more information they have, the better they feel about their investment in their wedding,” says Meghan Hurley, owner of Concepts PR Events & Design.

“The Bridal Experience” will be hosted at IDL Ballroom on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1PM-7PM. The event is free to the public, but online registration is strongly encouraged. For more information or to view the event schedule, please visit www.tulsaeventpros.com.

It's Christmas Time!

What an amazing weekend.
It was such an honor to do the Christmas party for Strong Family Financial again this year. If I was to ever stop being a business owner and DJ, I would go work for Jamie Strong.
We also got to party w/ the wild and crazy bunch from Oil Capital Electric in Oklahoma City. And next weekend we do Oil Capital Electric – Tulsa, at The Hard Rock Casino.
And our biggest event this weekend goes to Cancer Treatment Centers of America with over a 1000 guests at The Renaissance in Tulsa. A special thanks to Jeffery Horn of Feature Presentations, LTD for choosing us be a part of such an amazing event.

Tulsa Wedding DJ on 7.23.11

7.23.11 - What an awesome day. First wedding of the day was the Beal – Walker at Bella Gardens Wedding Chapel in Broken Arrow. Event Directors Kena and Channing, along with DJ Vixen, delivered a perfectly timed event. Julie, from A Moment in Time Photography, and her all female staff plus our all female staff sure had the men outnumbered! The bride’s new stepson danced a show stopper to Thriller and the rest of the reception followed suit!

The Cunningham – Garner Wedding was the second wedding of the day. It was at the Double Tree @ Warren Place in Tulsa w/ Adrienne Smith. Ranae and Kaleb had a huge Grand Entrance! They had the 22 members of the Wedding party divided into Kaleb’s Groomsman Team and Ranae’s Bridesmaid team. Each team came in as a group and it was high energy to say the least. For the Bride and Groom Grand Entrance, the teams created a tunnel for them to go through and all the guests were jumping up and down, screaming, and laughing. As they transitioned into their first dance I was able to share their story of how they met and the romantic way that Kaleb proposed. Great job man… great job. During dinner we told the guests that, in order to get the bride and groom to kiss, they had to stand up in groups and sing a song with the word “love” in it. The guests ate it up! There were more than 15 groups who stood to sing (some more than once). Talk about unique dinner music! We were very lucky to work with Erica Scott and her staff from Erica’s Weddings. Not only did Erica and her staff keep everything moving along, they were able to cater to our Bride as she became ill near the end of reception. That allowed for Kena and me to focus on entertaining the guests. We kept the dance floor packed until Ranae was able to join the reception. Although she still didn’t feel fantastic, she was able to finish off the night with a dance floor packed with family and friends. Check out our short video below.

Detter / Stafford Wedding

Amazing Reception with Mom & Me Events
Last Saturday was such a great day! Kena & I left Tulsa, OK and headed to Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, OK for the Stafford reception. We worked with Rene and Jerrica from Mom & Me Events based out of Tulsa, OK. They were absolutely fantastic! The reception was in a metal pole barn at Will Rogers Downs . Mom & Me Events turned it into a fairy tale.

We arrived in Claremore around noon and Jerrica and Rene had already been there working for hours. Black pipe and drape created the walls, cream draperies created the ceiling, and the most beautiful flowers created the centerpieces. I was amazed at how well they had already transformed the room!

Once the wedding party arrived Rene and Kena had them lined up and ready for their customized Grand Entrance. Kena said Gentry looked amazing and Kyle had such a huge grin on his face. The wedding party was introduced and then time for Kyle and Gentry. Before they came out I told the guests about how they met and how Kyle proposed. Kena said, from behind the curtain we could hear them "awwww". It was so adorable.

"And here they are today... Mr. & Mrs. Kyle Stafford!"

The evening went smoothly and perfectly. Working as a team with Mom & Me Events was a wonderful experience. They are professional, personable, and such great women. If you are looking for someone who can successfully plan and execute your wedding contact them. They come with high recommendations! We can't wait to work with them again in May!! Military Prom

I have a new outlook on some of the youth today. I DJ’d a Military Ball (100+) last night and the young adults were awesome. During dinner, every time a lady would leave the table all the guys would stand while one pulled out her chair for her. When she returned they all stood again while one pushed her chair in for her. Their speeches on how great America is and how they are ready to work, serve and even die for America. I am impressed. When they made request, they were respectful and very polite. They would ask if I had a song and could I “please” play the clean version because they didn’t want to offend the female quest. Overall; from dinner, to games, and to dancing, it was a huge success.

MBLV 2010

Kena and I went to Mobile Beat show in Las Vegas last week. We had a blast. We meet fellow DJ's from all over the world. We attended seminars from lighting design to how to better give back to the community. The national American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA)meeting was very informative. The ADJA is really helping to make the Mobile Entertainment industry better for everyone. Party AllStars will be working on some new stuff this year and we are excited about 2010.
