Booker T. Washington Prom 2012

DJ RO' and I got to perform for this years 2012 "Starry Night" Prom in Tulsa, OK at the Tulsa Convention Center. The night was awesome. The kids really loved seeing DJ RO' spin on the NS7. DJ RO' is a student at Booker T and has been spinning with Party AllStars for almost a year now. He said last year his goal was to spin at one of his own school dances and Saturday that happened and they loved him. It's hard to believe that a kid at 16 already knows how to read his crowd, time the next mix, scratch or sample, and know the perfect time to drop the bangers. Congrats to our DJ RO' for a successful Prom.

Glenpool Prom 2012

Glenpool, OK. Prom 2012: This is the first year Party AllStars performed at The Glenpool Prom. We met with Mrs Caudle back in the fall and started working on the Prom. It was clear from the meetings with the Admins and students they wanted an amazing set-up. Everybody was great, from the students to the teachers to the Glenpool Conference Center staff. Here is what we came up with. Here is the area from the back of the room to the foyer.
And here is the front of the room with the goalie style DJ set-up.

Bar Mitzvah (Jack)

Last Saturday night was a great event. We got the pleasure of working with Christina Leigh Clayton of Christina Leigh Events in Tulsa, Ok. It was a Bar Mitzvah for Jack at the Oklahoma Jazz Music Hall of Fame. Christina put together a great event. She had it set up as Around the USA theme. There was a rodeo clown and a mechanical bull, various game stations, huge rock climbing wall, plus the Oklahoma City Thunder Cheerleaders performed and stayed and danced almost the entire night. Party AllStars brought the sound, lights, dancers and DJs. We had tons of trussing with lights, DJs on turntables spinning club style and motivation dancers Jessica and McKenzie kept people dancing till the last song. Jack said, “thanks DJ, this was crazy!”

The Bridal Experience

“The Bridal Experience” offers Q&As from wedding industry pros

Tulsa Event Professionals presents “The Bridal Experience,” a full day of informational sessions taught by some of Tulsa’s elite wedding industry vendors. The sessions will contain question and answer panels, how-to tips, and live demonstrations revolving around that special day. Topics like getting the most from your photography, selecting entertainment, choosing a venue, and serving your guests at the reception will help brides-to-be navigate planning their big day. The event will also feature “Date Night” prize drawings from various popular restaurants around town. Vicki Taylor, producer of The Tulsa Wedding Show, will also be on-hand to answer questions on how to get the most out of a wedding show.

Anyone wishing to attend can sign up online for the sessions they want to attend to reserve their spot. Reservations are not necessary but they are suggested. “Guests can come, get the information they’re after, and go home. The best part is that this event is entirely free,” says Jesse Reich, owner of Jesse Reich Photography and Tulsa Photobooth.

“Brides have tons of questions that they are afraid to ask. Now they have a place to go to ask those questions,” says Kena Lundy, co-owner of Edge Sight & Sound and Party AllStars. This unique event serves to educate anyone planning a wedding and will arm any bride and groom, or parents of the bride, with the knowledge to plan a spectacular wedding and spend their money smarter. “Brides and grooms just want information. The more information they have, the better they feel about their investment in their wedding,” says Meghan Hurley, owner of Concepts PR Events & Design.

“The Bridal Experience” will be hosted at IDL Ballroom on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1PM-7PM. The event is free to the public, but online registration is strongly encouraged. For more information or to view the event schedule, please visit www.tulsaeventpros.com.
